19 Nov 2013 - Nyala, 19 November 2013 – The AU- UN Joint Special Representative (JSR) for Darfur, Mohamed Ibn Chambas, urged tribal leaders in South Darfur to embrace the principle of resolving conflicts through dialogue, negotiations and other peaceful means and to guard against repeating the same patterns that have caused so much suffering in the region.
18 Nov 2013 - Following clashes between Salamat and Misseriya in Central Darfur which left dozens of casualties in the past weeks, the African Union-United Nation Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) facilitated the travel of the Wali (Governor) of Central Darfur and the State Security Committee, accompanied by a team of UNAMID officials, to Um Dukhun on 17 November 2013 to mediate between the two tribes.
16 Nov 2013 - Juba, 16 November 2013 – The AU- UN Joint Special Representative/ Joint Chief Mediator (JSR/JCM) for Darfur, Mohamed Ibn Chambas, visited Juba, South Sudan, from 13 to 16 November where he met with the Vice President of South Sudan, H.E.
03 Nov 2013 - On 30 and 31 October, more than 100 participants from across North Darfur State took part in a two–day conference to evaluate and assess the peace process in Darfur within the framework of the implementation of the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur (DDPD).
31 Oct 2013 - More than 1000 youth from across Darfur have received vocational skills training in 2013, as part of the 16 Community based Labour Intensive Projects (CLIP) sponsored by the African Union-United Nations Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID) in support of the efforts of the Government of Sudan to address the needs of at-risk youth and other vulnerable groups.

24 Oct 2013 - On 24 October 2013 the African Union - United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) hosted an event in El Fasher, North Darfur, to celebrate UN Day with representatives of the Government of Sudan, the Darfur Regional Authority (DRA), civil society leaders, members of the local community, UN agencies and other Mission partners.
24 Oct 2013 - The situation in Sudan’s Darfur region is marked by limited progress in the peace process, a troubling security situation and the continued need for substantial humanitarian assistance, officials representing the United Nations and the African Union told the Security Council on 23 October.
