23 May 2014 - Brussels (Belgium), 23 May 2014 —African Union-United Nations Joint Special Representative (JSR) for Darfur, Mohamed Ibn Chambas, visited Brussels on 20-21 May where he met with European Union (EU) officials and asked them not to forget the Darfur crisis.
07 Apr 2014 - El Fasher, 7 April 2014 - The African Union-United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) is protecting newly internally displaced persons (IDPs) who gathered near the Mission’s base in Mellit, North Darfur, and is assisting the humanitarian community in delivering aid to them.

26 Mar 2014 - Um Jaras (Chad), 26 March 2014 — To move the peace process forward, and at the invitation of Chadian President Idris Deby, African Union-United Nations Joint Special Representative (JSR) for Darfur Mohamed Ibn Chambas attended today the Um Jaras Forum in Chad. The forum, a gathering of Zaghawa leaders, is designed to build consensus in getting the Darfur armed movements to join the peace process. Sudanese Vice President Hassabo Mohamed Abdul Rahman also attended.
24 Mar 2014 - El Fasher, 24 March 2014 — The African Union-United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) is providing protection to thousands of people who recently sought refuge at the Mission’s bases in Korma, North Darfur, and Khor Abeche, South Darfur, as a result of violent attacks by armed assailants on villages and on an IDP camp, respectively.
19 Mar 2014 - El Fasher, 19 March 2014— The situation in Saraf Omar, North Darfur, has stabilized and the majority of the displaced community have returned to their homes after the signing of a cessation of hostilities agreement between the warring communities. Nevertheless, some of those displaced who lost all their possessions and homes in the violence are still seeking protection outside the African Union-United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID)’s base in the town.
