02 Aug 2016 - Khartoum, 2 August 2016 – The Delegation of the European Union (EU), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the African Union-United Nations Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID) today launched a project to strengthen peace efforts and reconciliation through dialogue in Darfur. The event took place at the Corinthia Hotel in Khartoum, Sudan.

20 Jun 2016 - El Fasher, 20 June 2016 - On 19 June 2016, the African Union – United Nations Joint Special Representative/Joint Chief Mediator, Martin Uhomoibhi, met with Ambassador Abdulghani Alnaeem, First Undersecretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other senior MOFA officials in Khartoum, at their request, to discuss the special AU-UN report on the situation in Darfur.
12 May 2016 - New York, 12 May 2016-The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, and the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, condemn Monday’s attacks by armed groups on a Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp and the shooting at a nearby market in Sortoni, North Darfur.
10 May 2016 - El fasher, 10 May 2016—The AU-UN Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) condemns yesterday’s attack on a part of the Internally Displaced Persons’ (IDPs) Gathering Site in Sortony, North Darfur, where unidentified armed men on gun-mounted vehicles opened fire, killing two children and wounding several others, including a UNAMID peacekeeper.
09 May 2016 - Khartoum, 9 May 2016 – The eleventh meeting of the Implementation Follow-up Commission (IFC) of the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur (DDPD) was held today in Khartoum, Sudan. The Commission discussed the progress made and the challenges faced in the implementation of the DDPD since its last meeting which was held on 8 September 2015, in Doha, Qatar.
20 Apr 2016 - The African Union-United Nations Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID) is deeply concerned over the recent outbreak of violence in East Darfur which on 18 April in El Daein culminated in an attack on the residence of the Wali.
UNAMID calls on all parties involved in these unfortunate events to exercise the utmost restraint and refrain from acts that could further aggravate the situation.
