UNAMID expresses concern at the arrests of radio journalists and human rights activists

El Fasher, 03 November 2010 – The AU-UN Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) is deeply concerned by reports of the closure of the office of a Darfur radio station in Khartoum and the detention and arrest of several journalists and human rights activists yesterday.

UNAMID calls for the respect of all those detained and arrested and expresses its hope for a swift resolution to the matter.
