Two UNAMID peacekeepers killed in an attack in South Darfur

On 29 December 2013, a UNAMID Police patrol team was attacked by an unidentified group while on a routine patrol in Graida, South Darfur. Two UNAMID Police advisors, from Jordan and Senegal, lost their lives. Two of the killers were detained by local security authorities.

Condemning this crime in the strongest possible terms, UNAMID offers its full cooperation to the Government of Sudan in the investigation and expects that the perpetrators of this and all other attacks on Mission personnel are brought to justice.
