20 Jan 11 - Four women allegedly raped in North Darfur

20 January 2011 - UNAMID yesterday confirmed reports that four women were allegedly raped and beaten by three armed men, near the village of Dorma (25 km north of Tawilla, North Darfur). The Mission will follow up the case with the Sudanese police.

 

24 January 2011 -  A UNAMID verification team to the village of Dorma, located 25 km north of Tawilla in North Darfur, has found that, one woman was allegedly raped and another allegedly assaulted by armed men earlier this month. ItThe Mission will continue to follow up on this and other similar cases with local law enforcement officials.
