05 April 2011 - Deputy Joint Special Representative Mohamed Yonis today received a delegation led by Ghanaian Ambassador to the Sudan, Mr. Amin Amidu Sulemani, at UNAMID headquarters in El Fasher, North Darfur.

The Ambassador was briefed on UNAMID’s most recent achievements and challenges in the implementation of its mandate. He also paid a courtesy call to the Wali (Governor) of North Darfur.

The Republic of Ghana currently contributes nearly 300 military, police and civilian peacekeepers to UNAMID.
