03 Nov 2011- UNAMID conducts training in human rights and HIV in West Darfur
03 November 2011- UNAMID organized a three-day workshop on international human rights law in El Geneina, West Darfur, targeting 30 Sudanese government family and child protection officers. The workshop aimed at raising awareness among this group on issues related to domestic violence and juvenile justice system.
On 1 November UNAMID also conducted an HIV awareness training to 20 members of the Government of Sudan police in Zalingei, West Darfur, the sessions covered health topics including sexually transmitted infections, facts on HIV and AIDS, HIV counseling and testing and post exposure prophylaxis.
