21 October; UNAMID’s Communications and Public Information Section, in partnership with the Peace and Development Studies Institute at the University of Zalingei in Central Darfur State, convened the annual debate under the topic: “UNAMID current mandate is set to end at the end of December 2020. How do you assess the impact of the Mission’s operations in the region over the last 12 years? was it successful or not, and why?”. The event, held at Zalingei University, brought together around 100 participants including university students, academics, teachers, internally displaced persons, native administration, civil society organizations as well as youth and women groups.
