On 9 May 2017, UNAMID's Communications and Public Information Section, in collaboration with the Centre for Peace, Development and Human Rights Studies, at the University of El Fasher, held an annual peace and development debate. Participants at the event -- which took place at the University – included some 200 students, women and youth leaders, as well as representatives from UNAMID, the University and state authorities.
