On 2 August 2017, UNAMID handed over a completed blood bank to the Zalingei Teaching Hospital in Central Darfur. The rehabilitated blood bank is part of the Mission’s Quick Impact Projects (QIPs) programme, aimed at building the capacity of the hospital and ensuring safe storage of blood samples.
