Two UNAMID nurses at the Mission’s level I hospital in Zalingei, central Darfur check medical equipment as part of preparedness and precautionary measures amid COVID-19. UNAMID salutes all its nurses and health workers who are working extremely hard under difficult circumstance to save lives, especially during this battle with COVID-19. It should be noted that the World Health Organization (WHO) declared 2020 as the International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife to recognize the critical contribution both professions make to global health.
