On 11 September 2019, UNAMID Deputy Joint Special Representative, (DJSR), Ms. Anita Kiki Gbeho, visited Nyala, South Darfur, where she met the Acting Wali (Governor) of South Darfur, Major General Hashim Khalid. During the meeting, they discussed issues related to the implementation of the UN State Liaison Functions activities, security situation during this rainy season and the cooperation between UNAMID and the state authorities in light of the Mission's exit from Darfur by end of June 2020.
