17 January 2011 - A UNAMID patrol travelling yesterday from Shangil Tobaya to its intended destination of Dar Al Salam (a distance of approximately 45 km) was prevented access by Sudanese Armed Forces. The peacekeepers negotiation efforts were futile and the patrol returned to Shangil Tobaya safely. The team assessed that the security situation along the route was calm.
