On 22 September 2014, UNAMID Police organized a one-day workshop on indigenous conflict resolution mechanisms for more than 30 women leaders from Abu Shouk and Al Salam camps for internally displaced persons in El Fasher, North Darfur.

The African Union - United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) celebrated on 21 September the International Day of Peace at Abushouk camp for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in El Fasher, North Darfur, in collaboration with the Abushouk Youth Association.
