On 2 December 2018, UNAMID commemorated World AIDS Day in El Fasher, North Darfur, under this year’s theme: “Know your status.”  The event, which was organized by UNAMID’s HIV/AIDS Unit, included a march, candle lighting memorial, drama and cultural performances. 

Rockero, 5 November 2018 – Significant improvements in the security situation in Rockero town, Central Darfur, have paved way for development and created room for the United Nations – African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) to start projects that will benefit the community.

25 October 2018 – Internally Displaced People (IDP) at Aralciro gathering site in Golo, Central Darfur are not sure what the future has in store for them, but amid the uncertainty, they feel secure, thanks to daily patrols conducted by UNAMID peacekeepers.
