31 January 2011 - UNAMID and UNHCR, in partnership with UNICEF and Governmental offices, organized a two-day Conflict Sensitive Consultative meeting for the El Fasher Rural Administrative Unit. The body is comprised of 68 village councils. About 200 participants representing youth, women and the native administration took part in the forum that concluded today in El Fasher, North Darfur. The exercise was designed to enable conditions for durable solutions in the region and to build the capacity of local organizations and communities in contributing to the dialogue processes.
