On 16 March 2017, UNAMID supported the launch of a community initiative for peaceful coexistence, with more than 4,000 attendees, at Forobaranga and Habila, West Darfur. This venture, which aims to engage communities in resolving issues of concern, falls within the Mission’s mandate to protect civilians and mediate during inter-communal conflicts.
