El Fasher, 20 May 2018 - The African Union-United Nations Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID) Joint Special Representative (JSR) Jeremiah Mamabolo has concluded a two day visit to oversee progress on the establishment of the Mission’s temporary operating base in Golo, Jebel Marra.

El Fasher, 15 May 2018 – On behalf of the African Union-United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID), I would like to extend my best wishes to the Government and people of Sudan, at the start of the Holy month of Ramadan.

On 23 April 2018, UNAMID handed over a police post at Al Riyadh camp for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in El Geneina, West Darfur, to Government of Sudan police forces. The project is part of the Mission’s efforts to strengthen rule of law and enhance security in the area.
