19 October 2008 The 108 first officers of the 147-strong UNAMID Nepalese Formed Police Unit (FPU) have arrived today in Nyala, where they will be based for a one-year tour of duty in Darfur. They will be followed by the rest of the unit on 21 October 2008.

23 November 2008 -- The first group of the Bangladeshi Multi-role Logistics Unit, comprising of 163 personnel, arrived in Nyala, South Darfur, today giving UNAMID the much needed boost in logistical support. The remaining 162 officers are expected to arrive tomorrow.
