    You will hear the story of Naglaa Abdallah Sharshar, cloth designer and artist from the city of El Fasher, North Darfur state who contributed to the social fabric and peace building through his art works. She has also participated in the peace events that was organized by UNAMID in North Darfur.

  • UNAMID TODAY, 2 July 2016: Role of UN peacekeepers

    In this programme you will hear about the role of UN peacekeepers who seek peace and help countries under conflicts and wars. They also work assignments on the implementation of the peace agreements, promotion of democracy, the deployment of security and stability, strengthen the rule law, work to drive development and work to achieve human rights. 

  • UNAMID TODAY, 1 July 2016: HIV/AIDS campaign

    This programme features HIV/AIDS campaign in Darfur. According to UNAIDS in 2015 there are   56,000 people living with HIV in Darfur and deaths due to AIDS is about 3,000. 

     

  • Yala Nebni Darfur, 30 June 2016: Justice in rural areas of Darfur

    In this programme you will listen to an interview with Amir Yahiya Mohammed, Rural Judge of Abu Surooj, about UNAMID’s partnership with rural courts to strengthen the dispensation of justice in rural areas of Darfur and an interview with Yahiya Ahmed Aalem from Friends of Peace and Development Organization in El Fasher about the impact of Un Exploded Ordnance awareness programmes.

    In today’s programme you will hear about raising awareness campaign in Darfur for pregnant women, particularly looking   during pregnancy and after birth.

    Today’s programme features UNAMID supported projects in partnership with El Fasher Technical School to reduce youth unemployment as well as the role of local customs and traditions in resolving disputes in Darfur. 

  • Yala Nebni Darfur, 28 June 2016: Women development

    Today’s programme features an interview with Aziza Ismail Al-Hajj, Head of El Nuor Charity Association for Women in El Fasher, about the activities conducted by the association in the field of development through quick-impact projects. 

  • UNAMID TODAY, 27 June 2016: Violence against women campaign

    You will hear about a campaign of fighting violence against women trough an interview with Dr. Hassan Doleib, responsible for the registration and maternal mortality in North Darfur. Violence against women is a term generally used to refer to any violent acts practiced intentionally or exceptionally toward women.

    Today’s programme features water problem in Eddelfursan locality in South Sudan. In this programme you will hear about the cause of problem as well as a proposed solution to the problem. A team that consists of UNAMID staff and members of South Darfur legislative council visit the site
