20 September 2010 - As part of a concentrated campaign to raise HIV/AIDS awareness, UNAMID yesterday held a seminar for over 150 prisoners in Zalingei Prison in West Darfur.
The workshop provided information about the transmission of HIV, its treatment and prevention, and distributed education material. The participants requested voluntary test services and further workshops on related subjects, such as hygiene promotion.
Similar activities are planned in the area for the coming months.
