15 June 2011 - UNAMID is currently providing emergency shelters to more than thirty people in Khor Abeche internally displaced persons (IDP) camp after a fire broke out on 11 June, leading to the death of a five-year-old child.
Peacekeepers yesterday repaired one of the tents, which sustained damage during a severe duststorm. Rain and sandstorms have since worsened the plight of the victims.
