25 April 2010 - Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir today met with UNAMID Joint Special Representative (JSR) Ibrahim Gambari to converse at length on a number of significant issues. The one-on-one discussion touched upon the country’s recent elections, the ongoing activities to gain the release of UNAMID’s abducted peacekeepers, and the JSR’s recent diplomatic mission to western Africa.
