4 Novermber 2008 -- The German Ambassador to Sudan, Mr. Rainer Eberle, visited UNAMID Headquarters today, where he met with the Deputy Joint Special Representative (DJSR), Mr. Henry Anyidoho, who briefed him on the overall situation in Darfur. The DJSR expressed the mission’s appreciation to the German Government for its contribution to the peacekeeping mission in Darfur.
Ambassador Rainer reiterated his Country’s willingness to support UNAMID.
The German Ambassador is visiting UNAMID to receive first hand information on the overall situation in Darfur including the ongoing political peace process led by the AU-UN Joint Chief Mediator, Mr. Djibril Bassole.
