On 5 November 2014, a delegation from the Zalingei Premier Skills School for Football visited the UNAMID offices in Central Darfur. The visit was aimed at discussing the issues related to peace and stability and efforts to reinforce the social fabric through sports activities.The delegation, headed by Coach Salih, the Technical Director of the School, met Mr. Lameck Kawiche, Head of Office, UNAMID Sector Central, and expressed its appreciation of the Mission’s effort toward promoting peace and stability in the State. On his part, Mr. Kawiche welcomed the visiting delegation’s participation in the upcoming Darfur Internal Dialogue and Consultation (DIDC) process which is expected to be launched soon.
