12 September 2008 - The African Union/United Nations Joint Chief Mediator, Mr. Djibrill Bassole, is concerned by reports of ongoing fighting in Darfur. The Joint Chief Mediator calls on all parties to exercise restraint and cease all military activities in order to protect civilians and create conditions for political dialogue.
