21 October, 2011 — World-renowned Sudanese singer, composer and band leader—Omer Ihsas—will launch the song “New Era: Darfur Peace Song”—at the observation of United Nations Day, 24 October, during a celebrationto be held from 10 a.m. at the Al Zubier Stadium in El Fasher, Darfur, with entertainers Saleh Idrees, Ahmed Sheeriff, Fathi Almahi, Safa Hamid and Shimoos. Later, at 1800, the entertainers will perform at a concert in the same venue. Omer Ihsas songs’ for Darfur including “If Clouds Gather,” composed for the Darfur International Conference on Water for Sustainable Peace in June 2011.
