2010 - The AU-UN Mediation team, UNAMID and the Doha Follow-up Mechanism, which includes the participants in the second Civil Society Conference held in Doha in July 2010, started today a two-day meeting in El Fasher, North Darfur. Nearly a hundred delegates from Civil Society groups in the three states of Darfur attended the mid-review session.
The workshop aims at giving an opportunity for the stakeholders to provide feedback on the status of the dissemination exercise that is underway in the region and to identify concerns that warrant more attention by the population. The team also briefed the public on the current status of the peace talks in Doha.
