UNMIL
United Nations Mission in Liberia

Closure of UNMIL

The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

Commemoration of the Day of UN International Peacekeepers

This year's commemoration of the Day will focus on Peacekeeping as a Global Partnership. The objective is to highlight the global partnership at the heart of UN Peacekeeping -- between the Security Council, Member States including their contributions of troops, police and funds, the host countries, and the UN Secretariat including peacekeeping staff. In addition, partnership with regional and international organizations, such as the African Union, will be highlighted.
