Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Coffee Break</strong> UNMIL Radio&rsquo;s flagship program today featured: <strong>James Kpargboi/ Communications Specialist at the Liberia Electricity Corporation </strong>who spoke on the expansion of the LEC services to the south east. &nbsp;<strong>Sorbor&nbsp; George / Communications Director&nbsp; Ministry of Health</strong> &nbsp;clarified that there are no confirmed cases of measles in Lofa County . <strong>Siatta Scott- Johnson &ndash; Coordinator / Female Journalist Association of Liberia</strong> disclosed that the organization has launched a women political engagement project &nbsp;<strong>Doris Myers / Lead Facilitator on&nbsp; Economy prosperity and Entrepreneurship at the upcoming youth and peace conference</strong>&nbsp; said they are aiming to use the event as an opportunity&nbsp; to showcase Liberia&rsquo;s business potentials and <strong>Eddie Nimely/ Vice President for Operations for the Liberia Tenant and Lessor Association&nbsp; </strong>said the organization has been launched to promote harmony between tenants and landlord​s.</p>
