On 28 July; UNAMID Joint Special Representative (DJSR), Ms. Anita Kiki Gbeho (top left), accompanied by UNAMID Force Commander, Lt. General Leonard Ngondi and UNAMID Acting Police Commissioner Dr. Sultan Temuri, met with Government of Sudan Senior officials in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum. During the meeting, both parties discussed latest developments in Darfur, including strengthening of coordination between UNAMID and the Transitional Government of Sudan in response to increased violent incidents in the region and the Mission’s support to the Government’s National Plan on Protection of Civilians.
