On 24 May 2016, UNAMID provided a special flight for the Wali of East Darfur, Annas Omer Mohammed, to attend an emergency security meeting in Adilla. The meeting was called to discuss the theft of camels and cattle which has increased tensions between the Maaliya and the Rezigat tribes. As part of its mandate, UNAMID supports mediation of inter-communal conflicts across Darfur, in collaboration with local authorities. Photo by Assel Ali Gebreel, UNAMID.
