18 May, UNAMID Joint Special Representative/ Joint Chief Mediator (JSR/JCM), Jeremiah Mamabolo, welcomed the warring parties to the official launch of the virtual peace talks between the Transitional Government of Sudan (TGoS) and the Darfuri armed movements, to whom UNAMID is providing technical support. The South Sudan Mediation, led by Dr. D Matok, with participation of the leaders of the Darfur armed movements represented in the Sudan Revolutionary Front in Juba.
