UNAMID Civil Affairs meets with the local Peaceful Co-existence Committee in Masteri, West Darfur, to discuss ways to promote peace in the region. The committee, comprised of farmers and pastoralists, talked about the root causes of conflict in their areas and how to best mitigate them through traditional conflict resolution mechanisms, particularly during the harvest season.
