From 1 to 3 October, thirty women attended a workshop organised by UNAMID’s Gender Advisory Unit (GAU) in Nyala, south Darfur. GAU training focussed on developing Darfuri women’s skills in mediation and negotiation to ensure that women take leading roles and are actively involved in ongoing peacebuilding efforts and political developments in Darfur and Sudan as a whole.
