31 August; UNAMID peacekeepers and members of the Sudan Police Force (SPF) conducted a joint patrol in Shawa farming area, some 17 kilometers east of Zalingei town in Central Darfur. The joint patrol was aimed at enhancing confidence in the protection role of the Sudanese Police in various camps for internally displaced persons and villages in the Mission’s Area of Responsibility.
