On 10 March 2019, a joint African Union-United Nations Strategic Assessment Team on UNAMID visited the Mission former team site in Korma, North Darfur, where they met with leaders of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). The meeting discussed issues related the IDPs concerns and UNAMID’s ongoing reconfiguration and eventual exit from Darfur in June 2020 as mandated by the UN Security Council Resolution 2429 (2018).
