On 3 February 2018, more than 200 people, including herders from 23 nomadic settlements, displaced persons, farmers, representatives of local authorities, Native Administration, the Peaceful Coexistence Committee as well as women and youth groups attended a UNAMID-supported peace forum in Korma, North Darfur. The workshop, organized by the Mission’s Governance and Community Stabilization Section, led to discussions on causes of conflict between farmers and herders and a review of traditional dispute-resolution mechanisms.
