On 05 August 2018, UNAMID Deputy Joint Special Representative, (DJSR), Ms. Anita Kiki Gbeho, visited the university campus in El Geneina, West Darfur. The facility used to be the UNAMID headquarters in the city and was handed over to the university in 2015. During her visit she interacted with the university leadership.
