A UN political mission continues to support the transition in Sudan (https://unitams.unmissions.org/en).
On 1 July 2018, UNAMID peacekeepers provided a protection escort to the UN Country Team (UNCT) headed by UNHCR during a field visit from El Daein to Alnemer Refugee camp in East Darfur.
