3 December is celebrated annually as International Day of Persons with Disabilities. In his message, UN Secretary-General, António Guterres reaffirmed the commitment of the UN to work with people with disabilities to build a sustainable, inclusive and transformative future in which everyone, including women, men, girls and boys with disabilities, can realize their potential. UNAMID staff, jointly with the local community members, marked the Day with cultural performances and a photo exhibition held in Zalingei town in Central Darfur.
