1 April; UNAMID Joint Special Representative / Joint Chief Mediator (JSR/JCM), Mr. Jeremiah Mamabolo conducted a “virtual” handover of 10 off-road vehicles to Sudan Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources. This is part of the Mission’s support to the Transitional Government of Sudan’s effort to combat desert locusts and ensuring food security, especially during the COVID-19 global pandemic. Mr. Mamabolo commended the proactive measures the Government of Sudan has put in place to prevent its citizens and other residents from contracting the corona virus, commonly known as COVID-19.
