On 26 April 2017, UNAMID partnered with the local community in Zalingei, Central Darfur, to celebrate the end of a three-month training in the production of fuel-efficient stoves. Some 200 women from four displaced persons’ camps in the area took part in the Mission-funded training which -- along with a range of environmental and health benefits -- is expected to reduce the time they spend collecting firewood and the associated risk of sexual harassment.
