Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<p><strong>Coffee Break</strong> is UNMIL Radio&rsquo;s flagship news and current affairs program that highlights issues of concerns to UNMIL, government of Liberia, Civil Society and Grassroots communities. Issues such as peace and reconciliation, elections, women&rsquo;s issues, current events, governance, rule of law, electricity and road construction among others are captured in the program which is aired Mondays-Fridays.</p>

<ul><li><strong>Hassan Kiawu</strong> &ndash; Clinical Communications Manager / Partnership for Research on Ebola Virus in Liberia spoke about the recently launched PREVAC Known as prevail 5.</li>
<li><strong>Gwendolyn Myers </strong>&ndash; Executive Director / Messenger for Peace embarks on peace promotion campaign.</li>
<li><strong>Dr. Dawn Barnes</strong> &ndash; President of the Liberian Cancer Society Liberian Cancer Society talks about the hosting of the 2nd Annual International Bazaar.</li>
<li><strong>Samuel Bajibo</strong>- Communications Director /Ministry of Transport - The ministry begins its annual vehicle inspection</li>
<li><strong>Clarence Jackson</strong> &ndash; Head of the Committee to Rehabilitate Radio Gbarnga speaks about the status of the station rehabilitation after heavy storm destroyed the facility and equipment.</li>
