Closure of UNMIL

The United Nations Mission in Liberia was established in October 2003 to support for the implementation of a ceasefire agreement and peace process, and to assist with the maintenance and restoration of law and order throughout Liberia. The mission successfully completed its mandate on 30 March 2018.

<ul><li style="text-align: justify;">Vice President Joseph Boakai has commended fire fighters in Liberia for their sacrifices to safe life and property at all times.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">The Director of the National Fire Service Bureau called for adequate support in order to equip fire substations around Monrovia and other parts of the country.</li>

<li style="text-align: justify;">The National Farmers Union of Liberia in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture recently showcased its program activities and needs assessment of fish farming in Liberia.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">In an overview of activities and field visits, the Chairperson of the National Fish Farmers Union of Liberia Kona Kollie called for more support to encourage mainly women who want to make a living out of fish farming and boost production on a larger scale.</li>
