On 9 October 2019, a delegation from US Embassy in Khartoum, led by Political Affairs Officer, Mr. Robert Wong, paid a one-day visit to Golo, Central Darfur. The delegation met with UNAMID Temporary Operating Base (TOB) team, local government officials and community leaders and discussed the security situation in the area and UNAMID transition.
